Best Hybrid Cars 2019

There are 43 Electric Hybrid Cars available (as of 2019) to buy new in the United Kingdom. Hybrid Cars give you the advantage of both Petrol and Electric power. Most Hybrid Cars listed below have a range of around 30 miles. This is sufficient for 90% of journeys. Fuel tanks are smaller but provide the benefit of a much longer range compared to when you have an all Electric Car.

Hybrid cars also charge themselves while you drive. For example when driving down hill. Also when you want to brake you can use an energy saving paddle (as in the Mitsubishi PHEV) to suck the energy back into the battery, instead of using the brake. This slows the car down. Motormum has driven a Mitsubishi PHEV which has a stated range of 30 miles. However if you drive up and down hill you can soon extend the range by harnessing the energy driving downhill.

You will pay slightly less Car Tax for a Hybrid Car because the Co2 Emissions will be lower than your standard Petrol vehicle.
